Seneca River Missionary Baptist Association is a 501(c)(3) religious organization formed of local churches (currently 31 but could increase) to promote the cause of Christ and the advancement of the cause of mission work, both home and foreign, and in assisting the education of people in the state of South Carolina. Except for the funds raised to support the operating expenses of the building used to house missionary activities of the association, the remaining monies are used to support the Baptist E&M Convention of South Carolina and the Baptist colleges (Morris, Benedict, and Friendship Colleges) which are owned and supported by Baptist churches across the state of South Carolina. Individual membership is admitted to the Association through being a member of one of the churches in the Association. However, voting rights for Association matters are awarded to delegates selected and sent by their church as representatives.
